You must forgive yourself.
Forgive yourself for that thing you did, for that thing you didn’t do. Forgive yourself for wasting that time, for spending that time. Forgive yourself for letting the opportunity slip away, for giving it your all to no avail. Forgive yourself for saying those words you said, for not saying the words you should’ve said.
In the end, you don’t need your self-judgement of your past.
All that does is reduces your confidence in the moment, and introduces doubt in the present. This leads to pitfalls in your future as you second guess yourself and everything around you. It leads to a greater likelihood of you making the same mistakes again and again. In the end, self-judgement burdens you and causes you to doubt your worthiness of this life, and makes you doubt if you even deserve what you envision for your future.
Ultimately, mistakes are not the end. Failure is a part of life. You can turn those moments into learning opportunities, into times where you forgive yourself, and move on.
You have more life to live. More missions to accomplish. More feats to overcome. More victories to conquer. More meaning to express. More purpose to explore. You have extraordinary, untapped potential to fulfill.
Forgive yourself. A massive amount of your future depends on it.
You are worthy. You are enough. With you, humanity survives, even thrives. Without you, a piece of the beautiful mosaic we call life is missing. We need to you show up today. We need you to solve problems, to figure things out, to love those around you, to serve, to help. This and more are only made possible if you’re ok. And part of the path to being ok, is learning to forgive yourself.
Forgiveness leads to freedom. Freedom leads to meaning. Meaning leads to purpose.
May you find your path of purpose today.
