At Hixon Zuercher, we’ve been blessed to do business with clients all across the country…
In fact, at the time of this writing, we have clients residing in 21 states that have heard of us and decided to allow us to steward their hard-earned investments.
We’re truly honored.
Recently, one of those newly retired clients from out-of-state decided that while Zoom sufficed for their investment review, they’d really like to drive up to our headquarters here in Findlay, Ohio and meet us face-to-face. It was a 7-hour drive!
I was shocked. Humbled really. If anything, I should be going to see them!
But they turned the tables and blessed us as we had the opportunity to meet our ‘virtual’ clients face to face.
It’s for moments like this that we designed our office. Each aspect painstakingly crafted and designed to create a feel of modernity and professionalism. To us, the small details mattered.
Every detail was thoughtfully considered, right down to the door handle someone reaches for when opening the door to our suite.
It had to be custom made, which wasn’t the least expensive or the easiest option. But to us, it was worth it.
The point is if you’re going to do something, do it right.
If you’re going to make something, make it beautiful.
If you’re going to build something, build it with excellence.
If you’re going to serve others, serve them with dignity, love, and care.
This lesson is not only important for business, but also for life. It’s a lesson we should abide by ourselves and instill in our children: Details matter.
We only get one shot at this thing called life. We can’t do it mediocre. We can’t be average. We can’t let the small things distract from the big things. And, we can’t let the big things falter because we got the small things wrong.
We need to take the time to do things right.
We have to be craftsmen at our trade, skilled at life, and care about the details that no one may even see.
May you live with excellence, lead with love, and take time to care for others.
And may you live on purpose today.
